Hey what's up?
I see... Sadness, loss and death... Tell me about it! Well, that's the undead for you...
Ordinarily, I would just say 'put up and shut up' to any people who have... lost loved ones.
Not today though.
Let's have some sympathy and humanity today. If we don't care for the living, we're just as bad as the walkers.
Yes, somehow, I've remembered I have a heart.
To be fair, a shy, introverted, weakling, cowardly, paranoid, pathetic, inexperienced heart, but a heart all the same.
Well... I hope that it's enough to make you smile at least. My uselessness I mean.
OK, here goes nothing.
Do you know someone who is either deceased or partially deceased? Did you lose them to the horde or otherwise recently?
And if you lost a loved one today, this is especially significant...
You will get over it. Time, as they say, is a great healer. (Clichés, as they say, are annoying. But in this case, appropriate.)
Say, for example, a friend or partner got bitten, and sadly turned into a zombie. You will feel like shit. That is human.
The thing is, it's not your fault. The infection has ruined the world by creating emotionless, bloodthirsty reanimated cadavers...
Obviously, deaths are unavoidable. You see, our extinction is almost inevitable. The impending eradication of romance and respect.
Guess what? If this is upsetting... good. If you can go through something like that and shed not a single tear... You aren't human.
Or you're so cold that you don't deserve to be. Zombies don't cry. People do. So embrace your humanity...
Mourn. Weep. Regret. Even hate. You won't be any less because of it. You will become... more. A better survivor.
You can't do anything about it now. They are gone. Unless... You could... Well...
For example, if your sweetheart is wandering the stagnant pavements, you could... 'put them out of their misery'.
'Rest in peace' is preferable to 'Search tirelessly forever to satisfy a insatiable flesh hunger'. But before you decapitate your soulmate...
I have another suggestion. You see, I have been to the brink of temporary death, and here I am. I was 'cured'.
Even your braindead Romeo (or Juliet) might still be saved by exposure to radiation... we just need more data at present.
Not that that's what you want to hear. My point is... Wait and see. It's unlikely you can save them, but there is still some hope.
Don't kill them. Please. My discovery could save them, and if not... Well, do whatever you think is best.
X-rays could salvage their humanity... But if not, time will salvage your happiness. Trust me; I'm a survivor.
