Hello?
Is it working?
That's much better... Okay, let's start again.
Hello.
I am still alive... Barely.
Shit was seriously hitting the fan on Friday... I had to sprint to the escape train to avoid instant consumption.
We... that is, me and about ten other survivors, made it to the emergency transport destined for Bad Mint in Birmingham.
Even now, I can remember the terror on peoples faces as they clamoured for salvation...
Everywhere you looked there were students being thrown to the floor by the undead and eaten alive. Horrible scenes...
Kept moving, kept a weapon to hand, kept as quiet as possible so the horde wouldn't notice us... We made it to the train.
Everyone was stunned into silence on the journey up. Well, at least I was. What could I possibly say?
Now, after what seemed an eternity, we arrived at Birmingham... It was, excuse the phrase, survivoriffic.
Dozens of evacuation locomotives had reached the safety of the Bad Mint, and it looked like the first arrivals had cleared out the area.
We all helped fortify defences and repair damages from the last time (must have been about a year ago...)
About a thousand people had escaped. No, seriously. The whole country must have had a sudden outbreak...
Something to do with the weather, maybe? Zombies do get a lot more active in Spring...
So, there we were, safe and sound... and bored. Fortunately, one of the local survivors created an impromptu badminton tournament!
Of cousre, since there were so many people there, only the very best were allowed to play...
Most of them were Chinese.
Under normal circumstanes (ie, non-apocalypse ones), I might have entered... But this time, I thought I should just watch.
Cutting a long story short, the emergency escape weekend turned out to be a high-level badminton show!
How amazing is that!?
Finals were incredible, too! The men's singles was really close, a showdown between Lee someone and who's-he-called Dan.
Unbelievable standard of play up there... Oh, anyway, after three days, we got the all clear from RHUL, so we came back.
Nice how a weekend of fear turned out to be a weekend of awesome.
Winfinite points to God if he's real... Although he could help out with this undead situation...
Oh, never mind... I think I'm finally coming to terms with desolation.
Oh, and FYI, the zombies had broken the generators yesterday, which is why the post was so... Faily.
