Hey there.
It's me again. Back from the undead.
So, on my holiday, I learnt a lot. I learnt that the infection is all over Europe. I learnt that living up a hill is pretty clever.
Oh, and I also learnt... ZOMBIES ARE SCARED OF SPIRALS!!!
Right, well, it's early days yet, but this could be the breakthrough of the apocalypse... The best thing since sliced head.
Reader, please spread the word. Cannibal corpses may in fact fear a simple shape. A twirly line.
Yes. This is not a joke.
Finally, a real deterrent for the undead. A scare-scarer. So, how did I find this out? It's... actually quite embarrassing...
Okay, well, we took overnight trains to Lisbon, and one of our fellow travellers was a young boy. About 10ish.
Reaching the station, we realised there were hundreds of infected on the platform, and we'd die if we got off.
Everyone was terrified, we thought it was the end of the line (ahahahahahahahahaNO), except for this kid.
Very stupidly, he opened the doors and stepped out to his death. Or so we thought.
Every zombie that looked at him fell over, turned around and crawled away. We were gobsmacked.
Realising it was safe, we all got out, and we asked the boy how he did it. He pointed at his shirt.
You won't believe it. He was wearing a Poliwhirl T-shirt. You know, that Pokemon. The spiral-belly one.
There was a moment of silence, and then we all burst out laughing. How silly that the horde had been scared by a Pokemon!
How did a picture scare off the undead? Well, here's my theory; If a zombie's brain is technically dead, it's easily tricked.
If you show a dead-head an optical illusion, it will confuse it. A zom's rotting cortex can't cope with advanced optics!
Now, it sounds unbelievable, and I'm not saying you should run outside with a print-out of Poliwrath just yet...
Give me a few days, and I'll confirm if it's true. Until then, friends.
