DAY #23

Hey there stranger!
It's one of the few remaining survivors who openly discusses the undead apocalypse in a public medium here!
And what a blog I have in store for you today! It's time for...
Music that relates to zombies!
Yes, today, I was thinking about what I could talk about, when a familiar and perfectly appropriate song began on the emergency broadcasts.
It inspired me to create a list of all my favourite (and only) songs about the undead. So here we go!
Let's start with the most obvious and most accurate to life track; Chasing Victory - Zombies
It's pretty straightforward. The song is about 'awaking the dead' who develop 'a taste for blood'... So far so true.
Killing these ghouls is also mentioned, saying that 'they're no match for a sharpened sword or a loaded gun'. Which is also true.
Even the infected's true weakness is explored lyrically, making many references to the sea... Because as we all know, they can't swim.
Yes, this tune (or TUUUUUNNNEEE if you will) is a good description of the outbreak so far.
Oh, and it's also a great song... I suggest you listen to it!
Use what's left of YouTube to find it... although it might be difficult considering all the uploaders are dead...
And probably the band.
Now, for my next song choice, we move much further to the techno end of the spectrum. Not like club music, like 8-bit stuff...
Drum roll please!
I present the little known artist; Superpowerless - Zombie Survival Plan
Music of this variety is not to everyone's taste, I am very aware of this, but cut me some slack! There are almost no songs about zombies!
So, this track is about what to do in an outbreak. It's quite good advice. It mentions 'boarding up doors'... which is very important!
On the other hand, Mr. Powerless makes a point at the end about deliberately getting bitten 'just for a laugh'...
Rubbish.
Rubbish rubbish rubbish.
You see, Mr. Powerless seems to have let all these reanimated cadavers get to his brains...
And not in that way.
Because he feels that the concept of sustainable life is 'unrealistic', he decides to become one with the horde on purpose...
Or to put it another way, he thinks "If you can't beat them, join them".
Unless you are seriously messed up in the head, that kind of mentality is unfounded and ridiculous.
To give up on life because you think you'll die anyway is just absurd... So pay no attention to the last verse.
Moving on then...
Your last reccommendation of undead related music is... well... not really about the undead. Or at least... I don't think so...
Screaming into my top three tracks of this incredibly narrow subject matter is; Unearth - Zombie Autopilot.
It's... Um... Very loud. And incomprehensible. So I can't really hear what they're saying / singing/ screaming...
Let's look at the title though. It has the word zombie in it. That's relevant enough right? Surely the inclusion of the word zombie is enough?
Even though it is followed by the word autopilot... They could have just picked two words at random.
Not a bad song though. Very angry sounding, lot's of noise... I imagine that's what the infected hear all the time!
Crazy, guitary men growling !
Except instead of all that growling, they hear all this... Wait... Okay, no it's just what they hear all the time.
Maybe it was actually a group of walkers who stumbled into a recording studio by accident? That. Would be. Awesome.
Unbelievably, I've managed to write more than ususal on a subject which is sparse to say the least.
Really sorry about this... It turned out to be an essay rather than a brief update. How uncharacteristic of me!
Right, well, I won't bore you any longer, but I do emplore you to at least experience these songs. Please look them up if you can!
And remember...
YouTube isn't as reliable as it was because all the people running it are dead and most of the servers have been destroyed. Good luck!
